Town & Country’s sliding doors incorporate sophisticated lift and slide technology with high-performance tracking and running gear. The weight of the doors is supported from nylon casters integrated within the bottom track allowing operation to be performed safely, effortlessly and easily. When closed, the hardware works efficiently to seal the whole of the locking side. It is also fitted with gap ventilation as standard, easily activated just by turning a handle.
Construction – All joinery is Sapele hardwood. Door styles are laminated to ensure enduring stability. All joinery is factory pre-assembled then supplied to site in loose components form for assembly by others or if installation is chosen assembly and fixing to aperture will be by Town and Country.
Frames – Frames are constructed from rebated jambs and head rails, and include a substantial profiled threshold. Top and bottom tracking is pre-fixed within purpose formed rebates.
Doors - Doors are supplied loose having been pre-hung with all requisite ironmongery and security fittings let in. This procedure insures accuracy of fitting and facilitates more efficient installation on site.
Preparation – All joinery elements are primed and undercoated white. Thresholds are Mahogany stained.
Glazing – High-performance dual-sealed double-glazing units comprise two leaves of 4mm clear toughened safety glass, a 12mm Argon gas filled cavity, and include Soft-coat Low-emmissivity heat reflective coating to the cavity face of the inner leaf. The thermal U-value of the glazing units is 1.3. The glazing units are supplied loose for on-site glazing by others unless installation by Town and Country is chosen. Profiled glazing beads are pre-cut and taped within the glazing rebates. Glazing units are internally fixed thus ensuring maximum security.
Ironmongery – All requisite fittings are security items are included for whatever multiple of doors is selected. All door fittings are in brushed steel. Tracking and running gear is in milled aluminium. All ironmongery is supplied loose for fitting by others unless installation by Town and Country is chosen.
Exclusions- The provision and continuity of vertical and horizontal DPC`s (damp proof courses), is the responsibility of our customer or their contractor. i.e. beneath the threshold and adjacent to the frame jambs.
